Consumer demands the development of super fast charging in the direction of small volume, high power and high density. In particular, the wide application of gallium nitride technology in recent two years has made the efficiency of the charger reach more than 93%, but for small chargers, heat dissipation is a major problem which perplexing engineers.
So, What thermal conductive materials will be used for such a small super fast charger?
1. GAP PAD
The gasket has certain flexibility, excellent insulation, compressibility and natural viscosity on the surface. It is specially produced for the design scheme of using the gap to transfer heat. It can fill the gap and complete the heat transfer between the heat source and the heat dissipation part.
2. Thermal conductive adhesive PAD
Thermal conductive adhesive PAD is widely used between plug-in components of fast charging power supply to fill the gap and play the role of thermal conduction. At the same time, it can fix plug-in components and improve the stability of the overall structure of charger.
3. Thermal Grease
Thermal Grease is similar to glue and can flow, it can be directly painted between the charger shell and PCB structure in the production process, filled evenly and formed at one time, which can meet the heat dissipation requirements of PD fast charging industry with increasing power and smaller volume.
4. Thermal Mud
The thermal mud is like plasticine, which can cover the whole PCB. The disadvantage is that some parts may not be completely sealed. The advantage is that if a part of the PCB is broken, the heat transfer mud can be removed and the PCB can be repaired.
